Ever wondered how the brain works, or how language is related to identity?

If you answered 'yes' to either question, join us for an evening of brain and language science at University of Pennsylvania's new MindCORE Neuroimaging Facility at Pennovation! We are excited to host two interactive sessions:

  • MindCORE directors Brock Kirwan and Joe Kable will share insights into revolutionary brain-imaging technology and its potential. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to witness brain imaging in action.
  • Linguistics PhD student Mikaela Belle Martin will lead attendees in an interactive discussion on how sociolinguistics- the study of language and society- can be used to dig into our everyday lives, from the way we move through our communities to our use of specific vocabulary to our local accents!

This event is free and open to the public. Don’t miss this chance to see innovation in brain and language science up close!

This event is for ages 12 and up. Tickets are limited; registration is required.
